My online courses give you the chance to spend more time with your writing, to go deeper and see what opens up over time. Sometimes the best way to do this is in the comfort of your own home, with friendly, supportive faces on a screen with their notebook and pen, keeping you accountable to do the same.

These grew out of Creative Writing Sundays, which I began in 2020 during the pandemic, as a small online space / refuge to read and discuss contemporary poems and then write together. What started with a few friends and family gradually grew into something much bigger, with friends of friends, then complete strangers joining and returning. We built a quiet but mighty creative rhythm together. These sessions inspired my facilitation work and it has evolved over the last few years into a variety of themed courses and opportunities to connect and write on particular topics. Previous courses have included: Body of Words - writing inspired by water, Tend/er - ways into writing about and from pain and the Poetry of Place.

All my courses are designed with so much dedication, care and joy and will help you to create space for writing in a way that feels accessible, alive and full of possibility.

UPCOMING COURSES

  • “Her creative writing workshop on pain was a portal into the self. Without having to personally expose anything, I was able to access and reframe abandoned parts of my psyche that very few healing modalities can touch because they were MY creation, guided by the prompts of Caroline's own embodied wisdom. This is way more powerful than being told what to do or how to be or how to heal.”

    — Amy, Writing Pain course

  • “Caroline brought an attentiveness to the subject that allowed it to be held in such a nurturing way, where its not scrutinised or prodded at but just accepted. So much thought and love is seen in the planning. I was so grateful for the space. I felt so safe to just be and show up as I felt without any pressure to perform beyond.”

    — Anna, Writing Pain course

  • “The creativity and playfulness Caroline brought to the experience had me looking at my pain and the thoughts and feelings surrounding it in ways I never have before and frankly never would have without her prompts. It was so freeing to think and write about my experiences this way, and I now have a treasure trove of places to play in, that feel like the antidote to the usual way these experiences are talked about.”

    — Ruth, Writing Pain course

  • “Caroline's sessions are an absolute joy. I feel like there's a real freedom to explore what poetry is and has the potential to be. I have learned so much in such a short amount of time because of the wealth of experience and advice Caroline brings to each session!”
